Hi, I'm Anna and am part of the first cohort at Brunel Medical School. I can give insight into the application process, how the programme is like, and anything in between - but also happy to chat about anything university related!

Computer Science
Hey there! I'm a second-year computer science student from Tanzania. When I'm not buried in code, you can find me on the football field, shooting hoops on the basketball court, or battling it out in online battle royale games—I'm a bit of a gaming enthusiast. I've also got a thing for cars, their mechanics and design fascinate me. What really excites me, though, is the idea of merging my interests with artificial intelligence. The thought of blending manual processes with AI tech gets me fired up. So, fellow future students, remember that your passions can lead you to exciting places, and I can't wait to explore this journey with you!

Paramedic Science
Hi, I’m Anisha and I am a 3rd year paramedic science student at the University of East Anglia. I lived on campus in 1st year and have moved out for 2nd year to live with my friends. Outside of my studies, I love heading into the city to browse the food markets or watch the latest Marvel film. After graduation, I hope to work with the London ambulance service or be accepted onto the civil service fast stream.

English and Journalism - BA (Hons)
Hi,
I am a second year student who have experienced taking a gap year after completing A-levels in sixth form.
I then took a local college course as I wanted to go into a degree programme where my A-levels wouldn't apply (STEM A-levels wouldn't do for an English and Journalism degree ) and decided the college course would work out cheaper than a foundation course at uni. So that took 2 years. If you are a mature student and worried about adjusting, I can reassure you that the first year is all about making sure everyone is on the same page.
I am also here if you have any issues with roommates as I had to relocate so understand how it can affect your well-being. I can also relate if you come from a bigger city and find it an adjustment to get used to being a student in a smaller space that lacks the usual diversity from big places.
Otherwise, I like reading, running, and sewing but feel free to reach out for a chat about nothing and everything under the sun :)

Biology - BSc (Hons)
Hi! I’m Amelia, and I’m studying biology at UOL! I am the course rep for my year and also a student ambassador, and my interests in biology are towards the structural aspects. I enjoy learning about human biology and how the human systems work, and the similarities between us and animals. I hope to study more about the history of biology, such as fossils and bones in the future, as well as ‘ancientbiotics’ - how humans treated diseases without the knowledge we have now. In my free time I like to help out and volunteer with projects relating to my interests in biology and also tabletop games!
